1. Who you're contracting with
These Terms form a contract between you (“you”, “Customer”) and Roua Alturk, Kleingewerbe gemäß § 1 GewO, Bremer Strasse 30, 65824 Schwalbach am Taunus, Germany (“GOAT Writer”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
2. The service
GOAT Writer is an AI-assisted content tool for SEO bloggers, marketers, and agencies. It uses third-party large language models (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, OpenAI) to research, draft, score and humanize content on your instruction.
3. Your account
You must be at least 16, provide accurate registration data, and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at support@goatwriter.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use GOAT Writer to:
- Generate content that infringes a third party's intellectual property, trademarks, or publicity rights;
- Generate or distribute defamatory, unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent material; child sexual abuse material is absolutely prohibited and will be reported to authorities;
- Build a competing AI writing service or train a competing model on our outputs;
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the API beyond your plan's rate limits;
- Share your account with third parties or resell access without our written agreement (Agency plan permits multi-client workspaces under one account).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without prior notice.
5. Subscriptions, billing, refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Plan credits do not roll over to the next month.
Refund window. EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive — but by starting to generate articles you expressly request immediate performance and thereby waive the right of withdrawal under § 356 Abs. 4 BGB. We may change pricing on at least 30 days' notice. The new price applies to the next billing cycle.
6. Your content (and what we don't do with it)
You retain all rights to the prompts, source documents, voice samples, and finished articles you create on the platform. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, process, and display your content only to the extent necessary to provide the service to you.
We do not train AI models on your content. Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google confirm in their API terms that customer API content is not used to train their public models.
7. AI output — accuracy disclaimer
AI models can produce inaccurate, biased, or fabricated text (“hallucinations”). The tools we ship — Fact Shield, Citation Audit, AEO scoring — are designed to reduce this, but they cannot eliminate it. You are solely responsible for reviewing every output before publishing or distributing it. Treat GOAT Writer as a drafting assistant, not as a final source of truth.
8. SEO outcomes — no guarantee
Search-engine rankings depend on factors entirely outside our control: Google's changing algorithms, your domain authority, your competitors, manual penalties, and your own edits. GOAT Writer makes no representation or warranty that any specific article, keyword, or campaign will rank, generate traffic, or convert. Marketing claims like “Articles that rank” describe the product's purpose, not a contractual outcome.
9. Indemnification — the AI-tool liability shield
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roua Alturk, GOAT Writer, and any of our agents from and against any claim, loss, damages, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- your prompts, source materials, or finished articles, including any claim of copyright, trademark, defamation, or publicity-rights infringement;
- any Google search ranking penalty, manual action, deindexation, traffic loss, or revenue loss arising from content you generated, edited, or published using GOAT Writer;
- any factual inaccuracy, hallucination, fabricated citation, or plagiarism in AI-generated text that you did not catch before publishing;
- your violation of these Terms, the Acceptable Use section, or any applicable law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GOAT Writer's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the lesser of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Euros (€100).
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption — even if we were advised of the possibility.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded under German law (e.g. for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health under § 309 Nr. 7 BGB).
11. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee any uptime SLA on Free, Starter, Growth, or Agency plans. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced in advance where practical.
12. Termination
You may cancel any time from your dashboard. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that exposes us to legal risk. On termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which it is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany (excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods). Place of performance and exclusive jurisdiction is Frankfurt am Main, Germany — to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence are not affected.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be emailed to registered users at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
